Summer concerts in the park feature popular bands performing at parks in various neighborhoods around Portland each night beginning at 6:30pm.

The month of May is an exciting time in Portland. The change of season means the weather is getting warmer and bringing with it more opportunity to get outside and enjoy some outdoor activities near our Portland motel. In the heart of southeast Portland, near the Hawthorne shopping district, the annual Mt. Tabor Art Walk happens during the weekend of May 20-21st. The event features artists showcasing their work at over 20 sites around Mt. Tabor Park.
A half-hour drive from our Portland motel tucked away in the scenic west hills of Washington Park in Northwest Portland, you’ll find the Portland Japanese Garden in Springtime bloom. It’s now open to the public after having recently undergone a $33 million expansion designed by Kengo Kuma, the famed architect who designed the Olympic stadium for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Foodies from all over the globe travel to Portland specifically to experience our world-renowned restaurant scene. In celebration of our vibrant culinary offerings, Travel Portland puts on Portland Dining Month every March, during which over 120 restaurants around the city, not far from our Portland motel, offer prix fixe 3 course meals for only $29.
